Mike MacAllister and Julie Hardy are a songwriting and production duo based in Brooklyn, NY. They began working together as the band Clementine & The Galaxy in 2012. Since then, their music has been sync’d numerous times in TV commercials, films, and TV including ads for Old Navy, Lexus, Diet Coke, Haagen Dazs, Nike, Chanel, Sprint, and Xbox, TV shows Shameless, Vampire Diaries, Guilt, Lucifer, and House of Lies, and the trailer for the Entourage movie. They are signed to Warner Chappell  for publishing.

Aside from writing and performing as the band, Mike and Julie have worked with a number of artists including Donna Missal (writing and producing her viral hit “Keep Lying”), Rachel Platten, Mothica, Enisa, Spencer Ludwig, and Tanners. They co-wrote Australian singer Meg Mac’s single “Don’t Need Permission.” They are signed to Kobalt.

Individually Julie Hardy is a busy, vocal coach, producer, and session singer. As a vocal coach and producer she has worked with Joey Bada$, 070 Shake, Rachel Platten, Donna Missal, Natalia Kills, Enisa, Tyler James Bellinger, Mothica and Tanners.  Julie Hardy made her television debut on Saturday Night Live where she performed with Ellie Goulding.  Later that year she performed on the Late Show with David Letterman with St. Vincent. As a vocalist, she has been featured in many advertisements, film trailers, video games, and TV & Film.

Hardy teaches Songwriting at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music and voice at the New School. 

Mike MacAllister is a prolific composer, songwriter, and producer.  One year after arriving in NYC, Mike dropped out of jazz school and began writing music for film and TV which flourished into a career as a staff composer for Human Music and Sound Design, one of the world’s top post-production music houses.  He worked there, and later as a creative director for Butter Music and Sound, scoring countless national and international ad campaigns before going freelance in 2014.

Mike’s film credits include Freakonomics, The Movie, In The Spirit of Laxmi, and Impossible Monsters.  He wrote the themes to ESPN’s “Mike and Mike, ESPN’s “Outside The Lines, the current arrangement of the Entertainment Tonight theme, and the new theme for CBS morning news.  He wrote the sonic identities for the Encore network, the Paramount network, and Citibank.
